The India-Pakistan thaw took a long time coming, but the gang from Lahore is making up for lost time and cricket is a very good excuse to do so. "We never felt for a moment that we are not in Pakistan as there is very little difference between the two nations.

We have been making the best of our trip here and are enjoying every second," said Laeeq Khan from Lahore, who was busy shopping in CP. His wife Shaukat Jahan added: "Our interaction with Delhiites has been very pleasant." The couple along with other family members are planning to visit Agra and Jaipur after the match on Sunday.

While in Delhi, most Pakistani guests wanted to get the flavour of Hindi cinema too. "We are going to watch Lucky. We have heard of this movie in Pakistan a lot," said Khan. Nadira Sharif and Shaheen Ali, also from Lahore, were keen on watching the latest Shahrukh Khan flick. For most of the across-the-border visitors, the trip has provided them with a new realistic perception of India. "We were pleasantly surprised to have been greeted in such a warm way by the people here. We had no problems getting around the city with everyone being more than ready to help out,"said Ali. However, other visitors were not so lucky. Two visitors from Islamabad - Mohammad Shahbaz and Faisal claimed their stay has had its glitches. The two men said they felt let down by the arrangements. "Transportation is such a problem. When Indians had come over to Pakistan they were provided with the best of deluxe buses to cross borders. We''ve heard of all the garlanding but seen nothing," said Faisal.

"There are no tourist information centres around here. We don''t know how to get about the city. However, our visit to the Jama Masjid and the Red Fort have been fun. We are very excited about Sunday''s match," said Abdul Latif, a visitor from Sayalkot.
